New Year’s Health Resolutions for 2023

We welcome 2023 and we want to wish you a happy new year. We know that we’ve all faced some challenges this past year, and we pray that the coming year brings brighter days. Sending all our love and good wishes to you and yours. Like every new year, we close a book and start a new one. This month we start a new chapter, so make sure you start writing a good story.

In this blog post we want to give you a few resolutions to add to your list this year for you to achieve your goals, improve your health and feel better. It is time to start the year on the right foot and make ourselves a new and better version.

 Leave old habits behind

We all have habits of which we are not proud. Whether it is smoking, constantly consuming alcohol, fast food, sedentary life, among others, there are always opportunities to leave behind what does not benefit us to move on and improve. Try to start your day with gratitude and positivity. Surrounding yourself with new people who bring good habits and add to your life is also important. Be aware that we need to be mentally, emotionally and physically healthy to feel good about ourselves too. So cut with old habits that are no longer good for you and your health. If necessary, seek help from a professional, and remember: it is never too late to start over.

 Get an annual checkup

Although many people do not consider it necessary, it is very important to have an annual medical check-up in order to detect silent diseases that may not produce any symptoms. It is also necessary to know our health status, since in this way we can avoid future complications and get early treatment options.

 Move more

The benefits of exercising are endless. And it’s no secret that during the holidays we tend to break our routine, neglecting exercise and diet. In addition to helping people lose weight and reduce the risk of developing some diseases, exercise helps prevent type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and high blood pressure. Not to mention that when doing physical exercise, our body tends to release some hormones called “endorphins”, which give us a feeling of joy and energy that helps us cope better with our day-to-day activities. Be realistic, don’t be too hard on yourself either. You can start with small routines and increase the exercises and pace as you improve your physical condition.

 Improve your diet

Now, as we already mentioned, the regular consumption of chips, sugar or foods rich in fat… it is clear that is harmful for our body and at some point will cause consequences in our health. Try to start a healthy diet at the beginning of the year so that throughout the year you begin to notice the fruits of eating healthy. In addition to prioritizing your health through your diet, it will also benefit you to be in shape.

Do something you’ve always wanted to do

The power to reinvent yourself each year is about being a better version of yourself. That’s why you have to take advantage of this year and start doing things you always wanted to do. Surfing, taking cooking classes, practicing yoga, traveling to one of your dream destinations, learning to knit… whatever. It’s time for you to stop making excuses and start doing what makes you happy!
