What are New Trends in Yoga?

Hybrid yoga

If you are wondering what hybrid yoga is about, we have all the details. Hybrid yoga is the combination of the practice of yoga implemented into other styles of traditional exercises (such as CrossFit, pilates and acrobatic – just to name a few). This is with the aim of combining exercises and having a greater impact on the body when practicing it with weights, including dances and movements that complement and improve our basic routine. This will also allow our body to move in different ways, which will not only help our stretching, but balance and work more muscles than usual.

Multi-sensory yoga

If you are not familiar with this new concept, As the word says, ‘multi-sensory’ refers to our senses. This new concept involves including all our senses such as sight, sound and smell in our yoga practice. It depends on where you are but there are people who, when referring to the sense of sight, choose colors or a place that can be visually pleasing for practice. The scent can be included by using incense or certain scents that help relax your mind and body. And sounds are the key when we need to relax, so as you can imagine listening to relaxing sounds is included in this concept.

Active Meditation

We all know that regular meditation requires the time and place to sit still, clear our thoughts, and attain calmness of mind and spirit. However with active meditation as the word says, it will become active. This means that you will not need to stand completely still without moving to practice it. You can meditate while you move, work or carry out your daily activities, since this practice consists of focusing on the breathing patterns to reach total relaxation. This allows you to be where you are, it helps you with all the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual blocks. That is why in the practice of yoga meditation is so necessary.

Virtual Yoga

Not to mention the cost and time you save, times have changed post-pandemic. Now people find it safer and more comfortable to do yoga from the comfort of their homes. Or if you don’t have a studio close to home, it’s very common nowadays to subscribe to a virtual program, watch a live or an on-demand session and get the most out of it.
